Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is once again making major plays off the court, purchasing a huge new property in the East Bay town of Alamo for $5.77 million.
Located at 115 Stephanie Ln., the five-bedroom, eight-and-a-half bath mansion has a Finnish-style sauna, five fireplaces, billiard room, chef’s kitchen and a library. Weighing in at 10,290 square feet, the property has a 1.5-acre footprint that encompasses an outdoor pavilion with kitchen, and infinity edge pool and formal gardens with a fountain.
There’s also a six-car garage and detached guesthouse. The property is registered to 115 Stephanie Lane LLC and the agent and brokerage was Carolyn Gwynn of Paragon Real Estate Group Inc., according to property records. Curry purchased the house earlier this month.
Earlier this week Steph and Ayesha Curry put their Walnut Creek home on the market for $3.7 million, after owning it for less than a year. You can see the gallery of that property here.
The move is one of several made by the Currys in the last few years: In June, Steph Curry sold his Orinda home for $4.65 million, a significant premium from the $3.895 million he’d been asking for the property.
Curry listed the property in Multiple Listing Service in mid-May, just months after moving into a separate property in nearby Walnut Creek. The property sold to an undisclosed buyer in a private transaction.
The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player bought the Orinda property in 2013 for $3.1 million, and the couple a did an extensive renovation of the property, which includes a 4,700-square-foot home as well as a Syrah vineyard, putting green, outdoor kitchen and pool. And, of course, a basketball hoop.
