I recently met a wonderful woman named Stephanie McNaughton of Horizon Elder Law and Estate Planning. We had an instant connection over our love and concern for the elderly population who live amongst us. Unfortunately I’ve witnessed how easy it is for older people to get taken advantage of, especially in real estate transactions. Stephanie and I plan on hosting seminars to educate our neighbors on their options. Stay tuned!
Carolyn Gwynn personifies business acumen and excellence in the Diablo Valley real estate market. Producing in the top 1% of Contra Costa County Realtors, Carolyn is a businesswoman whose depth of knowledge of the communities she serves, and large personal and professional networks give her clients a distinct advantage when buying or selling residential property.
Carolyn has carved her niche in the luxury property arena (over $2M), and knows the key to marketing luxury homes is leveraging relationships and maintaining a spotless reputation. She sold the highest value homes in Alamo in both 2016 and 2017 and enjoys drawing out the uniqueness in her client’s properties.
Her Sellers benefit from Carolyn’s management of every detail and expert preparation of properties, resulting in the highest possible price for her listings.
Her Buyers appreciate her tireless efforts to find them the right home and negotiate the best terms on their behalf, even in competitive multiple offer market conditions.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Carolyn spent 20+ years in the computer hardware and then software industry as a Sales Executive entrusted with global accounts such as Chevron, HP, Apple and Nike. Negotiation, marketing skills and juggling multiple balls in the air are second nature to Carolyn, as they should be for anyone negotiating one of the largest assets you will ever buy or sell. Having Carolyn on your side of the table will serve you well.
Real estate is not a part-time job or hobby to Carolyn. She knows it takes 100% focus in an industry where knowledge equals power and the most prepared win. Carolyn understands the importance of being available to clients, clear communication, and command of her subject matter. It is this invaluable knowledge that allows her clients to make sound decisions. She is known by colleagues as a hardworking, intuitive, top notch individual.
A fundamental part of Carolyn’s life has been giving back to the community. She is involved with Pledge to Humanity, and leads the Sister School program at San Ramon Valley High School. Additionally she is a member of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. She has served at Rancho Romero and Stone Valley Schools, Round Hill Country Club, and Del Amigo Pool. The Gwynn’s support the San Ramon Valley High School Athletic and Academic Booster Clubs.
Carolyn grew up in Walnut Creek, attended Carondelet High School, and then earned a BS in Finance at California State University, Chico. (It remains her firm belief that Chico is no more a party school than any other University). Carolyn resides in Alamo with her husband Mike, and they have three daughters; the eldest attends the University of California at Berkeley and is a 4th generation Bear. The second is a business major at San Diego State University, the youngest is at San Ramon Valley High School. The Gwynn’s enjoy traveling, music, camping, and a menagerie of pets. Carolyn and Mike have renovated three homes.
